It doesn't matter if it's big things that impact day to day life or little things that have no significance, it makes me so unbelievable uncomfortable to let people know I'm interested in getting a piece of candy from their candy dish or telling my girlfriend (who I'm incredibly comfortable with) something I prefer sexually. My typical response is to hide my desire and try to manipulate others into it being their idea to give me what I want, I've become pretty darn adept, but I really don't want to be like that.
I really admire people who know what they want and are upfront about it, I don't understand why I have such a hard time with it.
