For context, I have a mental illness, OCD and it shuts me down from functioning at times and I can be a mess and hard to deal with at times. Despite struggling, I do my best I go to therapy regularly, I have a job, self sufficient and I have just started dating but one question that really bothers me is that why would people put up with me when they can be with someone so much easier to be with. On a side note, when my ocd is severe, it's really bad I don't function at all and I would take help from my family members. This disorder can be so debilitating
No. As long as they can manage a relationship with another person it's all good. I had a relationship with someone with severe BPD and it was my first relationship and it was pretty bad. So many signs I ignored because of being naive.
Ultimately failed because of their lack of getting help and realizing how her illness affected her relationships
