Why does testicular torsion even exist?

No guy should have to go through this phenomenon. Basically it’s when your testicles twist and blood flow is cut off. I heard that the pain is excruciating and there is a chance that your testicles can get necrosis in a certain length of time. Most of the time testicular torsion happens very very rarely, and in the most odd ways possible. Why should our testicles even be allowed to twist 😭
