Since every child is going to be an adult doesn't everyone have a right to comment on the parenting of their parents?

I've seen/heard stories of parents telling people not to tell them how to parent but as they are a part of society and their child will be an adult within society. Doesn't that mean that people should be able to comment on their parenting?
