Post Body
A little basic info about me and how I got to where I am now.
- Born with a heart condition that required me to have several open heart surgeries during my childhood.
- Later diagnosed as having highly functional Autism.
- In my late 20’s I had a valve replacement and could now actually do work without getting tired easily.
- Now at age 38 and still living with my father in my childhood home.
- Get disability payments, Medicare, and have a job.
So recently the company I work for hasn’t been able to supply me with much work. I work as a traveling furniture assembler and do work on the side as a handyman. Lately I’ve noticed my father’s age and health starting to catch up with him. Even though he says my disability pay and work helps with the monthly expenses I’m still scared to one day having to be forced totally independent.
What can I do when the day finally comes and he’s not here anymore? I have a hard time finding a relationship. My only sibling died in 2010. And very few friends (if any) I can think of to help me become stable.
