I don't expect everyone to read this, the title perfectly summarises the question I have, so reading this is not required to answer.
Edit: I don't think all overweight people have this mindset.
Just for calrification, I don't hate fat people just because they are fat, I have overweight friends who are awesome and so on.
So I never had a problem with weight, I was skinny all my life (I was never shamed). 6 months ago I started going to the gym, and sometimes for motivation I searched for videos on yt. I know they are not serious and I find them funny as well. But they get me in the mood for training.
But watching them I see these clips of people (mostly obese) saying stuff like if you don't want to be fat you are fatphobic, docotrs are fatphobic for giving medical advice etc.
Why are people so delusional? Why can't they accept that they are unhealthy and need to change? Why promote unhealthy lifestyles?
I can't grasp how this is beneficial over telling the truth.
