Why did you stop taking antidepressant medication? And if it was side effects what were they?

Genuinely just wondering about others thoughts if you have experienced this. I stopped because I felt like I was doing better and wanted to just go for a natural approach and was experiencing side effects like shortness of attention span/memory, fogginess and lightheadedness, and more volatile changes in mood/interest in things (not emotions like anger but like a swing from numb to happy to numb at random times).

Lastly, I felt like a strong part of my outlook and personality come from an intimacy with sadness and melancholy, being medicated made it hard to cry at art or empathize with sad stories from others and express myself creatively.
