Lovecraftian Tomb Of Annihilation

I start my first TOA game off in 2 weeks time. Had a session 0 already and my players were happy to play the game with some tweaks. So I'm running the rules here link Essentially it makes chapter 2 more tense as players have to worry more about survival elements to make it to point a from b on the map.
I'd like some encounter and side quest suggestions to put the eldritch fear into my players. Thanks for your help.
