I'm looking to understand these 3 npcs and their relationships.

Ok, so: Ras Nsi has been tasked by Ace to defend the tomb of the nine gods. Indefinitely? When is ace supposed to come back and help release Dendar the night serpent? This sounds like a terrible, one sided deal, and ras nsi seems smarter than to make a deal like that, imo. Furthermore, why does ras nsi now want to release dendar? is this just like, "boo hoo, i got rejected by mezro so now i want to end the whole world!" Has he just given up on mezro and ubtao altogether? there are still lots of people faithful to ubtao in chult. is he just a whiny edgelord pissbaby?

Secondly, Fenthaza: She basically doesn't like that Ras Nsi isn't snaky enough. I guess she's more a fundamentalist/extremist and sees him as a has been or a johnny come lately. She's got to see that he's dying. I think that she thinks that Ras isn't hardcore enough or strong enough to release dendar and that he has to go if that goal is to be accomplished. I'm assuming she at least knows a little of the deal with Ace (because otherwise what are they doing guarding this area?) and also thinks it was a bad one: an indefinite job for a future payment at an unspecified time.

Lastly, Salida: The book says that she works for Ras, shares a sending stone with him, and "She keeps him apprised of the activity of anyone who's heading south in search of Omu". I'm kinda thinking of flipping this around and having her working for fenthaza, trying to rope said adventurers into helping overthrow ras nsi (the party will already want to!) in order to bring on dendar (oopsy!). I think it would be fun if the party is recruited to help overthrow ras nsi, already their mission, only to find that the people that want to replace ras nsi are much more hardcore and capable.
