What's with the growing anti-classic Lara sentiment?
Post Body

I mean i'm well aware that the survivor reboot fans comprise majority on this sub, but in recent days the place has felt like a circle jerk, with opinions insinuating that it would be fine if classic Lara never returned, even not as part of the 'Unification', putting down older Lara's character designs while uplifting survivor as far superior just because of the realism, all of which get a ton of upvotes. It has felt like being on a reverse Tomb Raider Forums that's infamous for being a classic era circle jerk.

When the Survivor franchise was released, I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed to not see the original character design but I’m such a mega fan that I’ll consume any Lara content plus the locations are stunning. LAU is def my fav trilogy because I love Lara’s attitude, character design, and I was invested in the story! I grew up playing TR on PC in the 90s, so that’s where my love starts. The only pitfall for me with the Survivor franchise is Lara’s whiny, cry voice that she has - it’s so out of character even for a Lara still in the making!

PS did anyone ever spend time on planetlara.com growing up? I’m really sad that site is gone 😢
