Hello All,
Would be visiting Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo during late October to start of November.
Have been following this thread since a month and appreciate the inputs and suggestions shared by people on here.
Primary focus for the Tokyo visit would be to visit some must-see listed places along with shopping and trying out vegetarian cuisine available.
Will be staying close to Shibuya for the first 5 days, last day is at Ueno since I have a morning flight and wanted to minimize early morning travel with some heavy luggage in tow.
Would appreciate inputs/ suggestions to the below listed proposed itinerary. The intent is to maximize movement by clubbing areas that are close by together.
Day 1 - Arriving in the morning from Kyoto and checking in luggage to the hostel at Meguro.
Walk around Shibuya
Shibuya scramble
Hachiko statue
Starbucks Reserve Roastery
Visit Akihabara - Yodobashi Camera, BIC & Book Off
Question - Is there some way I can squeeze in a visit to the Travellers Factory at Nakameguro or is too much of wishful thinking?
Day 2
Team Labs Borderless booking at 10 am
Shibuya Sky booking at 240 pm
Shibuya Parco shopping for Pokemon items
Not sure what else can be done here?
Suggestions are most welcome - Would like to visit a brewery / try some craft brews with snacks
Probably will cover Shinjuku during the evening.
Don Quijote night visit??
Day 3
Full day Mount Fuji tour
Evening dinner / Izakaya plan undecided
Day 4
Team Labs Planets booking at 930 am
Harajuku visit post afternoon
Takeshita street shopping
Day 5
Early morning visit to Yoyogi park
Ginza visit - mega shopping day (Uniqlo, Ontisuka Tiger, Itoya, Muji, Tokyo Hands etc.)
Tokyo Metropolitan Government building visit
Evening Izakaya visit at Shinjuku
Day 6
Early morning visit to Senso ji temple
Kappabashi street
Check in to the hotel at Ueno for the last day
Last minute shopping perhaps - Any suggestions for the last day in terms of food and souvenir shopping.
Questions:
Can a morning visit to Meiji Jingu shrine be squeezed somewhere? I am toying with the idea of moving the Teams Labs Planets booking to the late evening slot
Any recommendations around Ueno side for the last day evening / dinner?
Please feel free to suggest modifications wherever needed.
Thanks in advance and appreciate the discussions over the sub that has helped me to draft this rough itinerary.
