Sadly, not all hits are created equal. There are some songs within the music charts that don't manage to become as big as others, like in the "Bubbling Under" sections, or scraping on the bottom of the Top 100. Yet, within that pile..there can be some surprisingly great diamonds in the rough that'll make you wonder "how wasn't this a bigger hit?".
My pick: "Jealous (I Ain't With It)" by French-Canadian neo funk duo, Chormeo. It barely scraped the Top 10 of the Dance charts, but did get to #5 on their home country Canada. However, I'm genuinely surprised it didn't get bigger, because the song is FUNKY AF. The production is amazing with one of the best synthpop throwback productions I've ever heard, and the plot about struggling to hide your jealousy when your GF's talking to other dudes is a cool contrasting on the "strong dreamboat" stereotype that most hit songs sung by men prefer to take. Genuinely wished it was bigger because it would've definitely been one of 2014's all time greatest.
