i have had a toad living in my window well since 2019, he fell in there around late may around that time and i was going to get rid of him but noticed how much he kept the bug population down, he disappeared around october 2019 and i thought he had died. Turned out he was just borrowing, my window well has dirt on the sides, fast forward 3 years and he looks really healthy, maybe a little chubby but that’s alright, My window well is around the size of a 50 gallon tank and has a lot of vegetation and is relatively moist, He’s about the daze of a baseball and i’ve named him Toad, Lately i’ve been starting to feel bad and starting to wonder if i should relocate him so he can live in the wild and explore more, there is no birds or snakes that fall into my window well and he is very safe in there, he will never have to worry about food or water as well as a place to hibernate, he is just fine in my window well but i don’t know, should i let him go ?
