Helping a wild toad

I get 3 wild toads in my front yard every night. I found one in my garage last night almost completely dried out. I put him in a lipped plate full of water and he seems to have made a good recovery. One issue though is now he can't seem to catch food with his tongue unless its on a wall. What can I do to help it?
