From top to bottom: Ruth (American toad), Chives (green frog), and Frank (American toad)

Doesn't Frank blend in so well?? It's hard to take pictures of him sometimes because he just looks like a rock

I've noticed that frogs of the same(ish) size recognize each other as friendly for the most part. They seem not fearful and actually more comfortable with their buddies around :)

They're both native to the state I live in (both were found as tadpoles in the same pond), and both green frogs and American toads have a decent sized range that they can be kept at. They're also in a big tank that is split down the middle, with a deep water part for the frogs and a large land area for the toads so they have their own space. The only real problem is that they compete for the same food, but I make sure everyone gets enough.

You're so nice about it, so I don't mind :) I know you care about their safety. And I'm glad you can see how healthy they are! I raised them from tadpoles and I'm so proud of how big and strong they got 🥹 I always did the research but I was afraid for a long time that I'd mess up somehow. Most native frogs are incredibly forgiving though, especially to new keepers.
