How to weigh weapon stats

Just now getting into the game. In the Ruins of Kor'Pul I got a s**t ton of weapons in the treasure chest and I'm trying to compare them. I got Gimiba the Frostbright, which seems quite good and has 30-42 base power but no defense or accuracy bonuses. I also got a Balanced Iron Battleaxe which has 15-22 base power but 7 defense and 7 accuracy bonuses. I'm sure Gimiba is better but is there any sort of heuristic when comparing weapons?
