Considering buying a Roamio for use with Comcast.

I currently have Comcast and don't want to take the chance of upgrading to their X1 system as I have heard a lot of horror stories. My current TV service works fine so I don't want to mess it up.

But I do miss having a DVR. I had a Series2 since 2006 but haven't been able to use it since upgrading to HDTV.

My foremost question is, if I buy a Roamio (the standard one, not the OTA or upper level ones) and get a CableCard from Comcast, can I give Comcast back the tuner?

Also, if anyone else has done what I am considering, I'd appreciate their comments and input.
