Yeah. No issues with the roof unless you plan on standing on it. It was fun and interesting installing the roofing. 😊
It's 13'5". I checked into it before. Can't remember what I found out. I do remember it wasn't a big problem. It is parked and our son lives in it.
That's great. Built before they started rationing steel...🤔 We really like ours!
We did get the right tires based on the estimated weight and have had zero issues. Sounds like you had a single axle...? We also upgraded the leaf springs to accommodate the extra weight. Our oldest boy lives in it comfortably.
It just depends on what you are planning on using it for. I wouldn't use it for travel This is simply designed to go from resting place to resting place. We framed in a floor. It's very sturdy and we have not had any issues. The axles are nice and straight and do not seem overloaded.

Total cost...🤔 $1100 for a old prowler trailer. Repurposed a lot of the appliances and bought the rest used off marketplace and other resources. With lumber and everything else (windows, doors, roofing) I would say around $14k...ish.
We have built for others and it has been rewarding.
