I've been on a few first dates in the last couple of years, and they usually end up the same way. I get told that I seem really nice, but that they didn't feel a spark. Three women in a row used these exact words in their messages
I've approached all of these dates the same way: I keep it light, friendly and funny - almost neutral. I don't really say anything flirty or suggestive, and I'm wondering if that's part of the problem? Maybe I seem too much like a friend instead of a romantic interest. And hence the lack of spark
I always approached dates the way I do because I never want to come off as creepy or sleazy. I am able to flirt (I was a bartender for years, so I learned to be fairly witty and quick), but I've never really used it in case it comes off the wrong way.
Should I try to be a bit more suggestive and flirty on the first date without overdoing it?
