So in early April, I bought Platinum and 10 boosts and struggled to get 1 or 2 likes per day without using a boost. When I did a double boost on a Tuesday night, I received 11 likes that evening but hardly any otherwise.

With work and family obligations, I let my membership expire a few weeks ago and started having my profile be shown again on Saturday. In just 2 days, I had 14 likes without Platinum or using any of my remaining boosts. Granted, this was during the weekend, but I didn't have anything close to that during the time I had Platinum, outside of when I did the double boost. I also live in a town of only 30,000 people and about 45 minutes from a mid-sized city (Knoxville).
