How is the room mates situation for Gothenburg University for first years?

So I'm going to travel to Sweden for the upcoming autumn semester to study for 3 years there, i was wondering how does the housing situation work there? I'm from Egypt and we don't have such systems here and it's very new to me, is it possible to live alone? Or am I forced to have a room mate? And is there a rule about having only one gender per room? As a guy i don't really want to be in a room with some girl, I'm 19 btw and id love some help and information, thanks alot in advance 🥰
