Looking for some help here from the Reddit community in Sweden:

We're relatively new (< 1 year) and looking to purchase a small property (radhus) or Villa (3-4 rum) with a budget of < 6 million SEK as the rental market is simply beyond making any logical / financial sense...

Having visited a couple of units all over Stockholm during open houses, we're trying to take a pick between Vega and Västerhaninge. They both offer decent commute times to the city centre / our offices and located on Pendeltåg lines with stations close by.

Vega from initial impressions looks a lot newer and appears a lot more attractive on surface at least with convenient shopping options etc. However, there's still plenty of construction taking place and we'd like to know how the community will develop especially with regards to the safety element...

Västerhaninge is just 2 stops further away from Vega via the Pendeltåg and 10km further south in terms of driving distance. Initial impressions are that it's a lot more quiet and is closer to forests etc. It appears to be a more mature community with a lot less new production but doesn't seem to have as many shops close by in comparison to Vega. Although, Handen with a mall and other stores is just a stop away...

In terms of property value appreciation / depreciation in ~ 5 years, what's your pick on the better community to move into?
