mic sounds great on solo videos, but on duets the mic sound funky

Like when i listen to solo videos I make they're fine, but as soon as I do duet, the audio output is fuzzy, and it feels like in zoom when someone's talking your mic will try to mute itself or lower its volume for the audio?? please help
