Rebarrel question.

I have a T3 with a standard barrel in 22-250. I wanna rebarrel in a proof research, or preferred barrel blanks pre fit carbon barrel 16” in 308 to shoot suppressed. It has the plain black synthetic stock. Could I open up the barrel channel on this stock to fit it? I really don’t care how it looks as it would be just to get me threw this season until I could finish the build.
