Battery light and brake light on? Brand new alternator,battery, and terminals.

Exactly as the title says light are on. Before alternator was replaced it was the same but power would run out quickly. Haven’t driven it myself to test since but father has. He’s worried about the 2 lights on and I’m trying to figure out why they are. Just asking before I head out tomorrow to auto one and see if any code pops up.
Edit: it’s a 2006 v6 2.7L
