Cleaning my gear after a thru

After coming back from the PCT, I've washed my hiking clothes multiple times with detergent, and hung it out to dry outside. They still smell of hiker trash. This is not ideal when day hiking... Is there a way to get rid of the smell without destroying my gear ? I've got a sun hoodie, a polartec sweater and a windbreaker.
