Hi, so I've been learning with the Sage for the past two weeks or so and I'm starting to get into tricks like Barrel Rolls and Double or Nothing. I've found that whenever I finish tricks like these (brain twister as well) pretty much all of my spin is gone. I know this is because of my technique but I wanted to go ahead and try out some new throws to see if that'll help my issues.
So far when shopping around all I've been able to find has been the DV888 (would rather not throw a metal and hurt myself) and the Velocity which I've heard not-great things about. Are there any other responsives, preferably plastic, that would be an upgrade from where I'm at?
Also whenever I look at high-end yo-yo's they all play unresponsive. Is unresponsive the standard for intermediate and high-skilled players? Instead of improving my responsive play (hoping to get to Kwyjibo) would my time be better spent learning unresponsive?
