been mulling this over for a few weeks now and waiting to write out a post when i had time. So i was thinking we should look into organising this year a secret santa, similar to the reddit secret santa done at xmas, but for thrifting. there would be a few tweeks as well to make it work, but here is the general idea as i see it. we do signups in like... aug/september. you then fill out a detailed bio of what your likes, dislikes, and stuff you find cool is. we set the $/£20 min, and you have to go to thrift shops and find things for the other person you are matched with! we all know the best thrift shops are the ones we dont go into, and how awesome would this be? the reason i said like 2-3 months is to give you good hunting time. if you cant find anything its ok! you could make a thing or send them something from amazon with a note saying "sorry my thriftshops are bad" in the end its win- win as you could end up with CRAZY value presents from what someone finds.
obviously this is a rough idea, but what do people think?
