Make no mistake, like Van said around 2020, "This [America] isn't a guarantee, it isn't a promise." The fact is that nothing, and I mean absolutely NOTHING makes America special in respect to fascism. "It cannot happen here" not only is an extremely naive perspective, but it is one of the prerequisites that LEAD to democracies collapsing.
