Well....it's a complicated answer. Trans women are women. But that doesn't mean all trans women identify as women. Some trans women identify as trans and have that be the main part of their identity. Both of these identities are valid. There are many many permutations of identity. Trans people are valid, regardless of that identity. For me, I identify simply as a woman who is technically trans. My focus is on being a woman.
