Every time I try I make one slight mistake and everything goes to shit. Most of the time I don't have enough defensive units near an area they need to be for some of the harder waves. My snipers are all too slow so I never make it in time. an Infected hits one building and boom, everything is over.

I try to expand outward to every choke point I can and use double ballistas and sometimes shock towers mixed in, but they still get through.

Should I drop down to an easier difficulty first? I feel if I do i am just wasting my time. Never beat the game before but I really want to on 100% and higher.

Side Question: Any other games people recommend that are strategy and/or city builder? I have frost punk and RimWorld. I grew up playing a lot of C&C. Love these types of games.
