In a way, yes. It's a trans species identity, since we are born as one species but identity as another. However there is no way of transitioning.
Some therians describe themselves as transspecies. I've sometimes used that word when trying to describe myself to people who have never heard of therianthropy or otherkin, to get the basic point across. Some therians don't use that word and find it inappropriate (they don't want to compare themselves to transgender people). The community is not unified on this matter, which is why you will find different opinions.
