On YouTube, I see a lot of therians complaining about their lives and saying "Oh, I would love to become insert animal, I won't go to school and I could go insert nature place that they love" “Being an animal would be much better” Etc etc... I think they only understand the good part of being an animal. An animal is not only about running and exploring but it also means feeling fear, anger every day, in short you have to survive (I'm not necessarily talking about disphorics therians)
I think you both have good points. But most of all, I'm happy to see people start to discuss philosophy on this subreddit. :)

Absolutely, that some are aware of all the problems wild animals face and still would prefer it over a human body.
But I think a lot of people aren't aware just how brutal nature can be. Parasites and painful infections, for instance. Not so romantic to succumb slowly of some easily treatable bacterial infection after a wound, right? Everybody imagines their past lives as killed by a hunter, or died quickly in an accident or something...
You can see the difference between knowing and still wanting it because of intense species dysphoria - and those partaking in romantic escapism, by the way they talk about it.
