But You’re Supposed To
Post Body

One of the conversations I have with people on a semi-regular basis is regarding “good” and “bad” forms of some of the things they like - pain, degradation, force, etc. And, as you might imagine, these things are not universal. Some people like thuddy pain but not stingy pain. Some prefer the opposite. Some don’t want to be called worthless or pathetic. Others crave being made to feel exactly that way. And so on.

A few weeks ago when someone told me he absolutely loved impact play in all its forms… except spanking. He just hated the feeling of a hand smacking his bare bum. The almost shy way he told me and the rushed followup explanation made it pretty clear he was used to people being confused by that response, because they think impact players are “supposed to” like spanking. Unfortunately for those people, we’re all individuals, and some impact players just don’t dig on spanking.

Is there something that, based on your kinks, people would guess you must enjoy, but you very much don’t? Or something that, based on your kinks, you “shouldn’t” like, but do?
