Or if not is there a way to minimise bruising, or reduce the time for it to heal? If none of this is possible then how long does it generally take for a face bruise to heal? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Sure. There's ways to do pretty much anything without leaving a bruise. All comes down to how much force is transferred from the hand to the face, and how easily the recipient bruises. The face is easily bruised, but it doesn't have to. Start soft, build slowly, find the sweet spot in terms of force, and don't overdo it.

yup. Also good to remember that "that area bruises more easily" means that area is more sensitive to begin with, so less force is needed to have the same effect.
