Hey all, I’m a 34M Dom new to the sub. I’m already pretty impressed with the quality of discussion here, and it’s nice to see so many helpful kinksters! In terms of the lifestyle, I’ve been involved in D/s for over 15 years now, and I’ve been a Dominant, a Daddy, and a Master to varying degrees (though I typically just identify generally as a Dom).
Since I was young I’ve always felt comfortable in an advisory role and as a confidant for folks who need perspective or help in understanding a problem; it’s a core part of who I am as a person and the foundation of my dominant mindset. So I’m always happy to share what I know and what I’ve learned when it’s helpful to others.
Recently I had a pretty serious dynamic end abruptly. That’s a long post all on its own, but the gist is: my sub revealed she’d been in a long term (vanilla) relationship with someone else for more than two years, while also secretly pursuing a 24/7 dynamic with me for nearly the last six months. Prior to the formal dynamic, we’d been close friends for years, so needless to say the shock of discovering I’d been so thoroughly lied to for so long was substantial. She’d been caught by her vanilla partner, and as a result told me she had to cut me out of her life to try and salvage her relationship. We haven’t spoken since.
All that to say, with no longer having a sub to focus on and guide, I’m trying to channel the grief and a million other feelings into something positive, so I’ve taken to pursuing a more active role in the BDSM communities on Reddit to try and help others.
I also have a tendency to be long-winded and prose-y 😅…
Thanks for reading, glad to be here, and I’m looking forward to being of service where I can. Feel free to ask anything you’d like.
