So, I'm in a finance class where I have to come up with a budget for a theoretical theatre piece, and I cannot find a pay for a theatrical director. The theatre in question is 202 seats, and every figure I find puts the pay for the director at 3 times the amount of all of the actors combined. I was wondering where I might be able to find a more reasonable figure?
Another question: the playwright is actually directing the piece, and our stage manager is acting as an assistant director as well. What's the normal formula for paying people in double roles? Do I pay them for both roles, or is it one inflated rate to cover both?
