Quick backstory: my first experience with The Wire was attempting to binge it during the covid pandemic (also was 22 at the time and had a short attention span). Needless to say that was a huge mistake because this is simply not a show you can binge. I got through season 1 and absolutely HATED the season 2 switch up initially. It just felt so out of left field I stopped watching. Cue 3 years later I try from the start again, and now I'm on my second rewatch days after finishing the first full run through. I'm curious how many people loved the show from the jump vs those that had to sit on it a while.
Tldr: I hated this show at first attempt watching and now its in my top 2 all time. Anyone else take a while to come around?
