I must say, it never gets old. I think the final scenes do wrap everything up pretty well and it’s actually so emotional and powerful, reflecting on the full journey of the characters. Tbh, I can even get on board with Stefan sacrificing himself, for the spiritual reunion and ‘full circle’ moment at the end with Damon. BUT…the writers reeeeeeeaaallly let the show down by making him say Damon is the ‘better man’ to Elena. WHY! It’s so unnecessary and so untrue!
