I'm curious to see what people think are some of the scenes with the best acting? For me, it would handsdown be:
๐ Nina when Elena came to terms with Jeremy's death, just before she switched off her humanity and burned down the family house. No matter how many times I watch this episode, she blows me away here; and
๐ Ian in the scene where he confesses to a stranger in the middle of the road that he most misses being human. I actually think this scene is underrated and Ian outdid himself here.
Overall, I honestly think they've got a pretty solid cast of actors for the main characters. Nina and Kat were always the strongest actors for me (Bonnie isn't even my favourite character). Paul is great but I never believed the different characters he played the way Nina made me believe. Candice is also great but her inability to actually shed tears was really jarring for me to watch whenever she had to cry (don't come at me Caroline fans ๐คฃ).
Carolineโs weak โMomโ when Liz dies is so real. It such a quick moment but that brokenness in her voice gets me every time. Her vague numb behaviour with Damon the following morning is spot on too.
Elena when she thinks Bonnie is dead at the school. I felt her pain. Nina nailed it.
