iâm curious how you guys wouldâve liked to see elena become a vampire!
she becomes a vampire and is met with a plethora of problems (in true elena fashion).
for me, I feel like their approach to her being a vampire creating a new set of problems (and solutions), was kind of a weird way to go but I donât entirely hate it. I think the sire storyline was interesting, but it kinda dragged out, and I didnât like the search for the cure.
I didnât like the search for the cure because I think they shouldâve just⌠had elena deal with the fact that she was a vampire from the jump đ like oh well? duh? đ a lot of the other characters said âwhy is it just for elenaâ and even elena points this out. I think it was odd for them to introduce this storyline, when weâve seen other characters (like stefan) miss being human. it just felt pointless to me, and sort of⌠undone? I think if they had it be more prominent for elena in later seasons to become human and go back to stefan, then it wouldâve been better (but obviously nina left the show). I get that they used it to introduce that stefan was also a doppelgänger though, but maybe another storyline couldâve been created for that (introduce tom!)
I wouldâve liked to see elena enter her new vampire life with more of her s1 and s2 qualities/character traits, and maybe they couldâve added a cool doppelgänger-vampire power that her and katherine couldâve discovered together. like maybe their blood can be used for different stuff? or they have specific skills other vampires donât? (sort of like the books making damon a crow or whatever LOL).
idk I didnât mean to ramble, but I just think it wouldâve been nicer to see elena be a vampire in a more traditional sense, rather than it being immediately met with problem after problem and then her only solution becomes so weird and drawn out? just all around odd. I almost wish it was a bit simpler? idk!
curious if anyone wishes they saw something different with that storyline!
The cure storyline annoyed me because almost nobody had heard of it in 2 thousand years, klaus just never mentioned it to anyone despite knowing about it, neither did Kol and then all of sudden they know all the details. It just felt like something we should have at least heard about before Elena turned because it ended up coming across as they suddenly invented it because theyâd made Elena a vampire and didnât know what to do with her.
