The cure thing annoys me. Was she supposed to have given it to precious Elena? Why shouldn’t she have taken it?

Because we don’t really see any of it. She’s not portrayed as a monster pre TVD like her brothers. We see her bratty behaviour but never her slaughtering so we don’t really have a clear picture of how many she killed. Had we seen it on the show we’d have a different view point to form opinion from.

A prime example of this is during an episode in the originals whilst the brothers are all feeding on random people Rebekah is rolling her eyes at them and asking if they’ve finished. She doesn’t seem to enjoy the kill like them.

That’s my point. Nothing she ever did was really that bad. The worst thing she did do is easily justified when you remove everyone’s personal feelings towards Elena.

She knew. Klaus was trapped in the house and if I remember correctly told her to go and get the cure.

She had just as much right as anyone else to get the cure. She didn’t even hide her intentions. They knew she wanted it for herself.

That’s what I said what ironic.

But killing klaus would have killed marcel. He wouldn’t have had to kill anyone else. The sire link hasn’t been broken yet. Klaus’ entire sire line would have died as soon as klaus did. Marcel included. She couldn’t kill klaus and have a life with marcel. They were linked.

Yeah it deffo counts but i feel like all of her bad deeds are easily justified. The rest do so much for self preservation despite the consequences. She’s pretty clean compared to most of the characters.

The irony of her doing it to be with marcel is if she’d actually succeeded marcel would have died because he was sired by klaus. She deffo didn’t think it through.

She had just been daggered by him for 60 years. She was punished again and again for loving him. I honestly don’t blame her for wanting him gone in that moment. She says when klaus is on trial that she wasn’t allowed to love because he couldn’t find love himself. She reacted to his cruelty. Maybe not in the best way but I do understand that anger behind it.

Stefan wanted it for Elena. He told her that when she asked him if he’d give it to her.
