I’ve rewatched tvd so many times i can’t even count how many times, this is the first rewatch where i watch season 7 and 8 cause i hated it so much in high school LOL. I have read a lot of people hating on season 7 and i use to agree but after this rewatched i actually kinda like season 7 a lot. I think there’s a lot of character development with Damon and Stephen. I also really like the heretics, kinda wish they didn’t kill almost all of them. But i think i still hate season 8. The concept of the plot is a really good idea, like it had so much potential. The problem is they set back so many relationships and characters. Stephan killing Enzo, then turning human and dying felt so unnecessary. The whole Damon not being able to fight off Sybil was a huge set back on his character. Ruining Bonnie’s relationship with Damon and Stephan was sad to watch. Bringing back Vicky and her mom as evil left a bad taste. There’s so much bs they added at the end that is overwhelming but not in a good way. I think i understand why the producers did what they did. I just think they did a horrible job at executing it. Honestly wouldn’t have mind the show ending with season 7. Also forgot to mention, there’s way more plot hole in season 8 then season 7 it’s actually painful to watch some parts.
