Now, let me be crystal clear and say I in no way blame Rebekah for what Klaus has done to her for years. He WAS abusive and toxic. Like acid waste, but that’s an insult to the waste.
However, I have seen no acknowledgment that Rebekah’s actions, through no intention of her own, got her brother cursed for 54 years. A curse that only Silas beat and had Elena throwing in the towel not long after it began. A curse that likely solidified a lot of his tendencies.
This, again, doesn’t make what Klaus did right, but it does give a lot of context. No justification though, like there is nearly nothing that justifies what he did, at least not what happened.
I’m just bummed we never get to see or hear anyone speak about just how much shit that actually was. I’m just wondering, did Rebekah ever really apologize for that? It also might be a reason she stuck around with him for so long, maybe the guilt kept her there?
Also, side note, it makes me wonder about Klaus undaggering his siblings. I’d think he did so for Finn, or someone did, cause Elijah does claim they did so a couple of times.
