It's easy to dislike Julie's writing and where she decides to take series with her questionable choices but I'm wondering. Has Julie ever done anything that wasn't a poor choice? Has she ever legitimately wrote something that could be considered high-tier? When I think of how TVD was in later seasons after Kevin left, all I can think of is how things only made sense from a Writers' Standpoint, not In-Universe. Like how Klaus had Tyler on the Run but let him visit before he had to go back again or the Infamous Sirebond Arc. I mean, if you have to explain things instead of letting the Writing speak for itsself, you don't exactly know what you're doing. The structure feels like Swiss Cheese with how flimsy and the holes all over.
Sorry if this sound confusing but I'm wondering what she's suppose to be, exactly. The only highest compliment I have ever heard about her was that she did "Bingeworthy TV" meaning she can only write shows that you can watch all weekend while snacking? Nothing thought provoking? Deeper meaning?
