Anyone under Wave 50 is demoted , but the rewards for staying are much greater for end gamers.

Last place should offer the same reward as being #1 or 2 in champ while scaling up hugely for being #1.

Top 5 players get a special skin and nice junk of stones and gems as by then you need insane amount to make any upgrades.

To avoid people getting lucky and just being a few in tournament instead of 30 people. Put in place a new tracking system to ensure if the 30 spots are not filled up the rewards are cut, while a full 30/30 gives full rewards. Personally all tournaments should have that to prevent some players from purposely joining last 5min in hopes of being alone in that bracket.
