Should I get the dlc?

I've always wanted to play this game since its announcement and I was about to play it when I became a deluxe member in ps plus and discover the game is part of the catalogue. It is avaliable the standard edition, I have only played half an hour. What kind of dlc is it? An expansion? Is it worth its price? How much content would I be missing in terms of story and duration? How many DLCs are there?
