Pokédex loading significantly improved?

I'm using 0.243.2-G-64 and I just opened my Pokédex to check how many regionals I am missing — I was able to scroll down with all images appearing instantly, rather than the usual having to wait several seconds for each entry to load as I scrolled.
Is this an already-known improvement that I have missed? Can anyone else corroborate my experience?
