So it was a little bit of a surprise to wake up to a new announcement from Niantic, but what was in it was definitely a bigger surprise than anything. Between the return of the legendary birds, Mewtwo, Kanto Pokemon and hatching regionals, I became more than excited for this month and next month both. But as I read it for the third time something came to mind that I started to ponder over. Since they are bringing Mewtwo to Tier 5 raids, rather than only EX, could this be a way for Niantic to replace Mewtwo with another Pokemon? Don't get me wrong, he is a good Mon to have in some situations but maybe it is time for him to be replaced with someone else. Also, how strong will he be? I have only had the opportunity to participate in one EX-raid and even with 20 people in the group, he was not the easiest thing to take down. So what about when he goes from EX to tier 5? Will they nerf him a tad to make it somewhat easier to catch? What are your thoughts on this? Please correct me if I got anything wrong.
