No-one's done a quiz for a while, so here's another animal-y one. Hopefully like my previous one this shouldn't be as nasty as my early ones. As always 1 point per question, total available is 40.
Round 1: Name the animal
Picture of animal. Name animal.
Round 2: Stupid babies
Here are ten pictures of baby animals, simply name the animal they'll grow up to be!
Round 3: "What is this animal most closely related to?"
I'll show you a picture of an animal, and then list four other animals. Just tell me which of the four you think the pictured animal is most closely related to.
- Picture. Racoon, bear, wombat, wolverine.
- Picture. Cat, bear, dog, coati.
- Picture. Otter, tuna, hippo, sea lion.
- Picture. Ray, shark, plaice, guitarfish.
- Picture. Sloth, lemur, kangaroo, squirrel.
- Picture. Racoon, lemur, monkey, bear.
- Picture. Hippo, bear, cat, rhino.
- Picture. Seaweed, coral, starfish, worm.
- Picture. Wolverine, mouse, rabbit, elephant.
- Picture. Plesiosaurus, crocodile, gecko, tuatara.
Round 4: "What is this fossil most closely related to?"
As above, but with fossil animals. There's a picture of a fossil and a reconstruction of the animal in-life to help.
You may also call a "Nobody knows" card if you think the animal pictured is weird enough that nobody knows what it's related to. This will only be the correct answer once.
